Ina-Garten

Ina Garten, an American author of cookery books and Emmy Award-winning host for Food Network's oldest program Barefoot Contessa which began broadcasting in 2002 and will run for 27 seasons to 2020. Ina began her career working in the White House, writing the nuclear energy budget as well as policy documents. She initially adored the intellectual stimulation of her job, but eventually, she lost the interest. In her place, she purchased Barefoot Contessa, a specialty food shop. Her store was extremely successful for 18 years before she made the decision to close it. She then began her first cookbook. Numerous other books as well as newspaper articles were published. Meanwhile, her Food Network television show too began its run and was an instant hit. Also, Ina sells products that range from food items to storage containers and tools. Ina did not go to a cookery school nor was she employed at a restaurant. She is entirely self-taught. Ina is well-known for her simple method of cooking, and her effortless entertaining. The most well-known recipes she has created are Skillet-Roasted lemon chicken, Beatty's Chocolate Cake Mac & Cheese Beef Bouguignon, the Balsamic Roasted Brussels Sprouts & Lemon Bars.
