Coleman is Lancashire-born. She attended Arnold School Blackpool as head girl, and she received all As in her A-level exams. In a discussion about her Emmerdale role, Coleman stated that she regrets not having had a typical university experience. Coleman was at the high school system, was a student of the theatre company In Yer Space. They performed the play Crystal Clear for the Edinburgh Festival. Along with receiving a prize for her acting skills, the show it performed attracted a lot of attention. Coleman was chosen for the Emmerdale character Jasmine Thomas after auditioning with drama schools. Coleman was nominated for awards in 2007 and won two awards. She won Best Newcomer at the British Soap Awards and Most Popular Newcomer at the National Television Awards. At the 2009 British Soap Awards she was awarded for the Best Actress Sexiest Female and the Best Dramatic Performance category. Coleman received a nomination for Best Actress at the TV Choice Awards. Steven Moffat of Doctor Who announced in a news meeting held on the 21st March 2012 that Coleman will take over the role of Karen Gillan after she and Arthur Darvill had left. Moffat picked her to play the role due to her being the most effective with Smith and spoke more quickly than him. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. She's been working in the entertainment industry since 1987. She has however had a greater presence on television than in films. Eva has played a variety of TV parts, however the roles of Dr. Maria Santos from All My Children and Detective Natalia Boa Vistas of CSI Miami have stood out. She was nominated for the two "Daytime Emmys" in the first role as well as having the an opportunity to explore her musical creativity. Eva is an entrepreneur and also an actor. Eva has had three marriages and also has a daughter with her second husband.
