Lis Wiehl (born August 19, 1961) was born on 19 August 1961. She is an American writer and an ex-legal analyst at Fox News.
She was an adjunct professor of Law in New York Law School and was previously Associate Professor at the University of Washington Law School. She also has provided legal commentary for Bill O'Reilly's Radio Factor and National Public Radio. She appeared weekly on The O'Reilly Factor, Your World with Neil Cavuto, The Kelly File featuring Megyn Kelly Lou Dobbs Tonight the Imus morning show, and hosts her own show, the Legal Lis radio show and the Wiehl of Justice podcast.
Wiehl was born in Yakima, Washington, and was a graduate of West Valley High School in Yakima. She earned her bachelor's from Barnard College, followed by a master of arts in literature from University of Queensland, in 1985.
Wiehl was a prosecutor in the US Attorney's Office. She served as a legal correspondent for NPR's All Things Considered. She was deputy chief investigating counsel for Democrats of the House Judiciary Committee, during the impeachment of Clinton. She was a law professor as a tenured professor at the University of Washington School of Law Seattle which she was the manager of the Trial Advocacy Program from 1995 to 2001. From 2001 to 2017 Wiehl was an analyst in the field of law for Fox News.
